The
Project:
The Challenge:Bargain Lane needed to build more awareness for their stores in local markets as well as break preconceptions about discount retail stores. They needed to position themselves as a desirable place to shop that offered massive deals but without the chaos that often comes with discount stores.
Our Approach:We took a deliberately anti-discount-store approach. Instead of screaming about prices with aggressive graphics and frantic energy, we created a calm, warm, documentary-style commercial featuring real customers and employees in the actual store.
The direction for cinematography was smooth - gimbal, drone and handheld - with bright, natural lighting that showcased the store as organized and inviting. Real customer interviews provided authentic testimonials focused on relatable moments. The edit maintained that calm tone throughout - no shouty voiceover, no flashing graphics, no manufactured urgency.
The Result:A one-minute commercial and supporting cutdowns that repositioned Bargain Lane as a different kind of discount retailer. By deliberately countering expectations, we helped them stand out in a crowded market. The campaign ran across social media (paid and owned) to drive awareness and foot traffic in local markets.
WE TELL STORIES THAT MAKE PEOPLE THINK. FEEL. ACT.
